Sheikh Zayed Housing Program The establishment of Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme comes as a coronation to the wise policy adopted by the Late His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, which laid the foundations ensuring the provision of adequate and decent housing for local families of different economic and social levels, taking into account the priority for special cases and needs. HE Dr. Abdullah Balheef Al-Naimi, Minister of Infrastructure development, chairs the Board of Directors of SZHP, the Board is considered as the competent authority for the Programme management and has the powers of planning, supervising, making general policies, deciding on the housing applications and approving financing programs, and their rules and regulations.

Tourism Vision 2020
Dubai’s Tourism Vision for 2020 is a strategic roadmap with the key objective of attracting 20 million visitors per year by 2020, doubling the number welcomed in 2012. The Vision was approved in May 2013 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and UAE Vice President and Prime Minister.
This strategy outlines what needs to be delivered for the city to effectively drive and serve this visitor growth with multiple initiatives covering regulatory policy, infrastructure development, product offering enhancement, and destination marketing investments. The overall goal of these initiatives and the strategy is to position Dubai as the ‘first choice’ for the international leisure and business traveller.
Tourism is a central pillar of Dubai’s economic growth and diversification. The Tourism Vision for 2020 will further leverage the sector by broadening Dubai’s offering across events, attractions, infrastructure, services, and packages. The Federation of Arab Engineers was incorporated by representatives of Engineers syndicates of Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Kuwait in Damascus on 28/04/1963, and launched its activities with the Eighth Arab Engineering Conference held in Cairo during the period from 08-12/05/1963. The idea of establishing the Federation of Arab Engineers emerged after holding seven engineering conferences, the first conference was held by invitation from Egyptian Engineers Syndicate in Alexandria during the period from 15-18/03/1945, followed by the second conference held in Cairo during the period from 09-12/04/1946 in which a Permanent Committee for Arab engineering conferences was established; followed in succession by conferences convened in Damascus, Beirut, Baghdad, and Cairo. These conferences served as occasions and events for exchanging views regarding Arab engineers affairs, not only in the field of conferences but also in relation to engineer's problems and profession comprehensively; until the president of Iraqi Engineers syndicate in 1961 by virtue of a proposition to establish The Federation of Arab Engineers. Sic, the federation started its activity. Currently it includes eighteen engineering entity from 18 Arab country.
